This is a really fast side dish. It works with regular broccoli too, but I adore broccolini, also known as asparation, baby broccoli or tender stem. This would be great with any grilled or roasted meat, or with fish or tofu.
Asian Broccolini:
(serves 2)
8 oz broccolini, ends trimmed
1 tbs soy sauce
1 tbs fish sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp sesame seeds
1/2 tsp crushed red chili flakes (or to taste)
Olive oil (about 1 tsp)
Directions:
Heat olive oil in a saute pan over medium-high heat. Add broccolini to pan, toss to coat. Reduce heat to medium and pour over all other ingredients (that have already been mixed in a bowl) and saute until wilted and a sauce has formed. Serve immediately.
