Fantastic Instant Pot Duo 7-in-1 multi-function power cooker give-away worth £129!

All I can say is that words cannot describe how delighted I am to be able to give away one of my absolute favourite kitchen gadgets to one of you!

I actually love my Instant Pot so much, I bought one for my parents too!

Firstly, I just want to say a big thank you to all of you who have followed my blog over the last couple of years, and enjoyed cooking my recipes (and told me so!) - I've just exceeded half a million views on my blog, which is amazing - so what better time to be able to give something fabulous back to you (other than my tasty recipes, of course)!

Normandy Pork in Cider
Before the Instant Pot came along, I always used to be afraid to use a pressure cooker, although we did have a stove top one, which the good man used (while I absented myself from the kitchen!) to make some delicious stocks in the past. I don't know why I was afraid of using them, as my parents and grandparents used them as a matter of course without any incidents that I know of, but I always imagined them exploding, 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' style!

Chinese Red-braised Beef Ribs
Loving cooking as I do, when I saw that Michel Roux Junior and Monica Galetti were fans of it a year or so ago, and that it was an automatic pressure cooker (and more!) with no less than TEN proven safety mechanisms, it was just too much to resist after so many years of being afraid to use a pressure cooker (but wanting to)!

Steak and Ale Pies
As for the 'and more' part - as well as being a pressure cooker (with two pressure settings), the multi-functional 7-in-1 Instant Pot is also a slow cooker, a rice cooker, a pressure and non-pressure steamer, a yoghurt maker, food warmer, even makes porridge, and you can saute directly in the pot (and also simmer, which is perfect for reducing sauces) with low, high and medium settings for the saute and slow cooker settings, amongst others.

Thai Sweet and Sour BBQd Ribs
It is so nice to be able to get dinner cooking at the press of a button, and walk away without worrying about it - it sounds an alarm to signal when it has finished cooking, and if you're pressure cooking, then you can either release the pressure by opening the vent, or allow it to release naturally (which takes around 15 minutes) - or it will safely keep the food warm for up to ten hours afterwards, if, say, you've made a delicious curry or something and gone out for a few hours in the meantime!! Like I've heard some people do! And there's a timer for the other end as well, with a delay up to 24 hours before cooking time commences (in case you want to set your porridge to cook for breakfast, or dinner for when you get home from work).

Beef in Black Bean Sauce with Peppers
If you want to have a look at the official Instant Pot website, you can find out more here including FAQs, recipes and much more.

You'll find some links to my Instant Pot recipes at the bottom of this blog (and photos dotted around!). This is the tip of the iceberg, mind you, as there are so many different things you can cook in there - I was amazed at the delicious lemon cheesecake I cooked in it, for example!

Now to the important part... how to enter and the 'rules'!

1. Firstly, you need to 'like' my Forking Foodie Facebook page (if you don't already), which you will find here, and keep your eyes peeled for the announcement of the winner on Easter Sunday, at 3pm GMT.

2. Secondly, you need to leave me one comment below this blog by midnight (GMT) at the end of Saturday 26th March, telling me why you would like to win an Instant Pot, and what kind of things you would like to cook in it the most, with your name and the mainland UK county that you live in, e.g. Jane Smith, Derbyshire. (You can select 'Name/URL' or 'Anonymous' if you prefer, from the drop-down options - just make sure you write them at the end of your comment). Don't worry if your comment doesn't appear instantly, as they are moderated - it will do within 24 hours (I will ensure all valid comments are posted by the closing date and time).

The winner will be chosen at random, one entry per household, mainland UK residents only. The winner will be announced on my blog at 3pm on Sunday 27th March (GMT) and will need to message me on my Forking Foodie Facebook page within 7 day of the announcement with their UK address details (the prize can only be posted within the mainland UK), and the prize will be sent to them directly by Instant Pot UK. In the event of no-one claiming the prize within seven days, another winner will be chosen at random from the comments.

Good luck to everyone taking part!
